X Article to Markdown.
Paste a link to an X (Twitter) Article. Get the whole thing, images in place, as clean Markdown for an agent, a model, or your notes.
Why this exists
X Articles only open for signed-in readers, so agents and models can’t read the link you send them. This turns the article into plain Markdown with every image kept in its place, as a direct image link.
Three ways to use it
Copy Markdown to paste into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or a notes app. Copy with formatting to paste into Google Docs or Notion with images. Copy agent link to give an agent a URL it can fetch itself.
Which link to paste
The link of the post the article was published in, like x.com/name/status/123…. Links to x.com/i/article/… need a signed-in X account to resolve, so open the article and copy the post link instead.
How to turn an X Article into Markdown
- On X or Twitter, open the post the Article was published in and copy its link.
- Paste the link into the box above and press Read article.
- Read it here, or press Copy Markdown, Copy with formatting, or Download .md.
- To give it to an agent, press Copy agent link. That URL returns the article as plain Markdown.

Questions
Can I read an X Article without an X account?
Yes. Paste the link here and the whole article opens, images included, with no X account and no signup.
Why can’t ChatGPT or Claude open an X Article link?
X only shows Articles to signed-in readers, so a model fetching the link gets a login page instead of the text. Paste the Markdown from here, or give it the agent link, which returns the article as plain text.
Are the images kept?
Yes. Every image stays in its place in the article, as a direct link to the image on X.
Can I paste it into Google Docs or Notion?
Yes. Copy with formatting keeps headings, links and images when you paste into Google Docs, Notion or most editors. Copy Markdown is better for Obsidian, code editors and models.
Which link should I paste?
The link of the post the Article was published in, like x.com/name/status/123. Links that look like x.com/i/article/… need a signed-in account to resolve, so open the article and copy the post link instead.
Does it work for normal posts and threads?
It reads X Articles, the long-form posts. For a post with a video, use X Video Transcript.
Is it free?
Yes. No account, no signup and no limit on reading.
